Gravestone for Delemo Leetassa Beard, Ph.D and his wife Caroline V. Beard (Williams). D.L. Beard was born in Rio, VA on September 25, 1898 to Samuel Wilson Beard and Elizabeth Annabelle Beard (Shanks). He died December 27, 1960. He was a Presbyterian Pastor and served as a Navy Chaplain in World War II.
