Clifford H. Rudd

This is Dr. Clifford Henry Rudd of Powhatan County, son of James H. Rudd and Ella Catherine (Kate) Netherland. Dr. Rudd married Mabelle Welsh on December 15, 1898. He was educated at Richmond College and studied medicine at McCormick Medical School in Chicago.
Entering into practice in Richmond, he specialized in neurology and optica.
Dr. Rudd was a thirty-third degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Acca Temple, A. A. O. N. M. S. He served as venerable master, Lib(?) Lodge of Perfection; Scottish Rite four terms, and was a director of Acca Temple at the time of his death, having served several terms in the office. He became a member of the Scottish Rite in November, 1905, and received the thirty-third degree in October, 1911.
Dr. Rudd was also past master of Dove Lodge, No. 51, A. F. & A. M. and was the first national president of the C(?)us Saints and Sinners. In January, 1929 he was elected president of the Cozy Corner Club and was a past president of the Richmond Rotary Club.
