Robert Hugh Rudd Jr.

This is Robert Hugh Rudd, Jr., a son of Robert Hugh Rudd and Dorothy Cridlin (Rudd). Robert was a lawyer and former member of Richmond's City Council. He became associated with the law firm of Hunton, Williams, Gay, Moore and Powell in 1953, where he assisted in drafting the Virginia Corporation Code. He joined the law firm of Lane, Rogers, and Paul in 1955 and became a partner in 1958. During his term as a councilman, 1960-62, he worked for slum clearance. He was a member of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Musicians’ Club, Willow Oaks Country Club, the English-Speaking Union, Tidewater Foundation, Delta Theta Phi law fraternity, the VMI Club, the University of Virginia Alumni Association, Northminister Baptist Church and the Richmond State and American Bar associations. He was also a past president of the Richmond First Club.
