William W. Deyerle
Born at Roanoke, Virginia
The 16th day of September 1853.
Big of body, head and heart,
he moved amid the activities of life
as a giant among men, with honesty,
industry and economy.
As the cardinal virtues of life,
he created a vast estate.
He scorned deceit and hypocrisy.
Died at McGregor, Texas,
his home from early youth,
the 8th day of May 1920,
commanding the respect,
the confidence and the esteem
of all who knew him.
